PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane elastic fiber for paper diaper having excellent adhesiveness and excellent unwinding properties and having performances excellent in process performances scarcely causing yarn breakage when yarn travels and having good design and appearance. SOLUTION: The polyurethane elastic fiber for paper diaper is obtained by attaching a treating agent containing, in a specific ratio, (a) a polyalkylene ether diol homopolymer or copolymer having 300-2,000 number-average molecular weight and≤20°C melting point with (b) an 8-25C higher alcohol having OH groups at the ends, (c) a mineral oil having 5-50 cst kinematic viscosity at 25°C and (d) a dimethylsilicone having 5-50 cst kinematic viscosity at 25°C to a polyurethane elastic fiber.
