PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fold a long sheet being comparatively short or a thick long sheet as a foaming sheet in zigzag to store it in a short time. SOLUTION: This device for folding the long sheet in zigzag and stacking it has a holding means for holding an end part in the longitudinal direction of the long sheet, a pair of rollers for letting the long sheet pass between rollers and exchanging positions of the rollers moving in the longitudinal direction, and a fixing means for fixing a folding-back part of the long sheet. After holding the end part of the long sheet by the holding means while the pair of rollers have the long sheet, roller positions of the pair of rollers are exchanged, and the pair of rollers are moved in the longitudinal direction to a folding-back end part of the long sheet after fixing the folding-back part by the fixing means. Next, roller positions of the pair of rollers are exchanged again, the folding-back part is fixed by the fixing means, and then the pair of rollers are moved in the reverse direction to the direction of moving up to the folding-back end part of the long sheet.
