PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container with a handle wherein the handle can be kept stable not only in a standing posture but also in all postures including a lying (horizontal) state to a standing state for improving efficiency in conveyance and avoiding the possibility of injury, and a washer used for the container. SOLUTION: The container includes a top plate 2 for closing an upper opening of a bottomed cylindrical barrel 1, the washer 10 welded to the upper surface of the top plate 2, and a handle 20 on which inserts 21 and 22 at both ends are inserted into handle insertion holes 11 and 11 formed at the washer 10. Handle insertion ports 11A and 11A of the holes 11 and 11 on the washer 10 are formed to be an arcuate surface dented in the direction of inserting the inserts 21 and 22.
