PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting apparatus which allows the release of support on a stored material easily. SOLUTION: The supporting apparatus 1 comprises cord holders 23 which can be rotated between a holding position for holding a cord part 5 of the stored material 3 and a hold releasing position for releasing a hold on the cord part 5. Each cord holder 23 has an almost arcuate cord holding part which holds the cord part 5 of the stored material 3, and a handle which is gripped to rotate the cord holder 23. The cord holder 23 further includes a contacting part which comes in contact with a contacted part and regulates the rotation of the cord holder 23 when the cord holder 23 is in the holding position.
