An optical disc drive capable of attaining a uniform and sufficient optical disc holding force. When recorded information is reproduced by holding an optical disc (12), recording face (12a) of the optical disc (12) is mounted on the mounting part (32) of a clamp mechanism (30), a projecting part (33) is passed through the hollow section (12c) of the optical disc (12) to the label side (12b), and the optical disc (12) is held by projecting a chuck pawl (35) from the projecting part (33). The chuck pawl (35) grasps the optical disc (12) by turning about a supporting shaft (34) extending along the tangential direction of the projecting part (33), and the proximal end part (35a) of the chuck pawl (35) is pressed by a resilient pressing part (36a) provided on a press member (36) and turned. When a specific chuck pawl (35) is hooked, the part (36a) pressing the hooked chuck pawl (35) deforms resiliently to allow movement of the press member (36) and an other pressing part (36a) presses the proximal end part (35a) of another chuck pawl (35). Consequently, an other chuck pawl (35) can grasp the optical disc (12) surely.
