An electrical connector assembly (1) has a ferrite member (6) which is easy to assemble, whilst positively providing a noise reduction effect, and risks little damage from vibration and shock. The ferrite member (6) is constructed of an upper ferrite member (6a) and a lower ferrite member (6b). Ribs (40) having elasticity are arranged within a recess (16) of a lower housing (2) in which the lower ferrite member is seated. The ribs (40) elastically urge the lower ferrite member (6b) upwardly. When the assembled ferrite member (6) is mounted within an insulative housing, the lower ferrite member (6b) is pressed against the upper ferrite member (6a) so that the ferrite members (6a,6b) are in close contact with no gaps therebetween. <IMAGE> <IMAGE> |
