The invention relates to a conduit entry for achieving a gas and liquid tight entry of cables and of the type comprising a leading-in housing (1) provided with at least one bore (2), possibly at least one compression washer (5), at least one compression nipple (4) and at least one sealing means (7) adapted to be compressed by the compression nipple to achieve sealing between on one hand the leading-in housing (1) and on the other hand the sheath of the cable (3). According to the invention, to avoid deformation of the cable when the sealing means (5) is compressed by fitting the compression nipple (4) in the leading-in housing (1), a means (6), penetrateable to the sealing means (7) for absorbing in radial direction compression force originating from the sealing means, is arranged circumferentially at a portion of the outside of the sheath inside the leading-in housing (1), and that the sealing means (7) is adapted to penetrate to some extent the means (6) for absorbing the compression force when the compression nipple is fitted into the leading in housing. |
