PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption while realizing a high function in an image pickup device such as a digital camera. SOLUTION: This image pickup device has a first CPU for the main purpose of executing an application and a second CPU for the purpose of executing imaging control. The image pickup device displays an image caught just after image processing as a confirmation image for a fixed period of time and stops the second CPU while the confirmation image is displayed.
