PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an imaging method, and a program which avoid a dizzyingly changing reproduced image caused by a rapid camera-working. SOLUTION: A shake detection circuit 114 detects a degree of a shake of an apparatus main body at photographing of a moving picture and records the detected degree of shake to an auxiliary recording apparatus 106 together with moving picture data. In the case of reproduction, the recorded degree of shake and the moving picture data are read and the degree of shake is compared with a prescribed value. When the degree of shake exceeds the prescribed value as a result of the comparison, the display of the moving picture on the basis of the read moving picture data together with the degree of shake is stopped.
