PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device by an AWD driving method improving a contrast, and to provide a driving method thereof. SOLUTION: The driving method of the plasma display device, including a 1st electrode and a 2nd electrode to which sustain discharge pulses are applied, a 3rd electrode which extends in the same direction with the 1st electrode and 2nd electrode, and a 4th electrode which extends to cross the 1st and 2nd electrodes, and 3rd electrode, includes the steps of (a) applying the sustain discharge pulses to the 1st and 2nd electrodes alternately in a 1st period; and (b) applying a reset waveform to the 3rd electrode in a partial period in the 1st period.
