PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized light control unit having a member for controlling a light quantity while advancing to an optical path, and capable of moving in a direction parallel to the optical path, as a whole. SOLUTION: A shutter unit (50) as the light control unit is provided with a substrate (52), having an aperture (52a) and two shutter sectors (51) held by the substrate (52). A guide shaft (55) receiving the guide of the movement is planted on the substrate (52). The two sectors (51) are rotated about respective rotating shafts (51a) to open/close the aperture (52a). Both the sectors (51) are arranged on the substrate (52) so as to be placed at a side opposite to the guide shaft (55), One sector is positioned on the extension of the guide shaft (55), when the aperture (52a) is made in an open state.
