PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can secure stable medium traveling and line feed accuracy. SOLUTION: This printer carries a printing medium held by a sprocket pin 48 formed on a tractor belt 39, by rotatively driving the tractor belt 39, both the side surfaces of which are supported on tractor frames A42 and B43. The tractor frame A42 for supporting one side surface of the tractor belt 39 is equipped with a second surface 42d which is brought into contact with the printing medium to be carried. The tractor frame B43 for supporting the other side surface of the tractor belt 39 is equipped with a second surface 43b which is brought into contact with the printing medium to be carried. The second surface 42d of the tractor frame A42 and the second surface 43b of the tractor frame B43 are in almost flush positions. The tractor belt 39 is arranged in a position lower than the second surface 42d of the tractor frame A42 and the second surface 43b of the tractor frame B43. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
