PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method, by which an alloy steel containing≥30% Ni is cast without generating a surface defect or an internal defect in a cast slab. SOLUTION: (1) An alloy steel containing 30-50% Ni and 10-30% Cr is cast using a mold flux, which contains, as a composition in a melting state, 20-30% CaO and 20-30% SiO<SB>2</SB>, which has a viscosity of 0.05-0.15 Pa.s at 1,300°C, which has a solidification temperature of 1,000-1,150°C, and which contains one or more of Ca-Si alloy, Si metal, and Ca-Al alloy in the total amount of 3-10% by a blending ratio before melting. (2) After bulging the cast slab of the alloy steel described in the above (1) by≥5 mm in a thickness direction at a vertical portion and/or a curved portion, which are located downward from the outlet side of a mold of a continuous casting machine, the cast slab is subjected to rolling reduction at an arbitrary position till the end of the continuous casting machine.
