PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a fraud that a long size body with a light emitting element is inserted from a token throw-in port, without separately having a configuration of a projected member, a detector or the like. SOLUTION: Photo-interrupters 75, 77 comprises light emitting parts 75a, 77a and light receiving parts 75b, 77b which are arranged so as to oppose to each other across a transfer passage 47. Light non-permeable shielding bodies 85 are arranged between the light receiving parts 75b, 77b, and formed from a flexible member having restoring force. When pushed by a token passing through the transfer passage 47, the distal end 85b of the shielding body 85 is bent so as to shield the photo-diode 81 of the light receiving part 77b. After the token passes, the end 85b of the shielding body 85 is returned to an original state where the end 85b is in nearly parallel with the base end 85a along the sidewall 77c of the light receiving part 77b, through the use of the restoring force.
