A device for cutting of book blocks consists of a bed, a transporting device and tool units. The transporting device is executed as a carrousel with clamping carriages mounted on it, which turn for 90 DEGREE . The tool unit consists of two complete sets of knives, which are set on mounting plate, which is motionlessly fastened on the bed, at this the knifes are located at a distance one from another, inclined in the direction of book displacement, and each knife is located at a set distance from the center of turn of the carrousel.
