The road vehicle dashboard storage cubbyhole cover (3) is hinged (6) at the bottom. It has an extension tray (9) sliding in grooves (8) in the back (7) of the cover. It is moved outward (10) by a linkage (11-22) as the cover is swung down from its closed to its open position. The tray automatically retracts to its closed position as the cover is swung up into its closed position.
