PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable nucleating agent for foamed insulation materials not increasing dielectric characteristics, particularly dielectric characteristics in high frequency band (≥1 GHz) at relatively low cost and to provide a high-frequency coaxial cable having a foamed insulator layer with high expansion degree and having little attenuation in a high frequency band by using the expandable nucleating agent. SOLUTION: The problem is solved by using an expandable nucleating agent composed of polyethylene fine powder crosslinked by electron beam irradiation as the expandable nucleating agent used for production of the foamed insulation materials.
