PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a lead acid storage battery integrally welding and jointing an electrode ear part to an electrode pole or connecting rod through the strap by using a comb-shaped jig main body having a strap forming part 71 and a slit 81, a heel block having a strap forming part 91 and a slit 82, and an additional lead, by taking the fact that a gap or a crack is easily generated at the base of the strap and electrode plate ear part or at the strap part, and that an electrolyte enters in those parts during use of the storage battery causing corrosion of the gap, into consideration, generation of the gap or crack is greatly suppressed. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method, the thickness of the strap forming part 71 and the strap forming part 91 is made uniform and equal.
