PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a form of a conveyance path and an arrangement form of a heating region into an arbitrary form to improve degree of freedom in design as the whole heat treatment device. SOLUTION: This conveyance device is constituted in such a way that a conveyance object 2 is conveyed while rotating it around its central shaft axis Y by moving rotary bodies 4A, 4B in the direction of arrangement of rotary shaft axes X while rotating these rotary bodies 4A, 4B in the same direction while realizing conveyance attitude in which the tubular or barlike object 2 to be heated is abutted on each of two rotary bodies 4A, 4B having parallel rotary shaft axes X in parallel with the rotary shaft axes X of the rotary bodies 4A, 4B. A conveyance object holding means M for preventing the conveyance object 2 being conveyed in at least a partial section in a conveyance path R of the conveyance object 2 from leaving the rotary bodies 4A, 4B is provided in the section.
