Medical instruments and methods of using the instruments are described. In some embodiments, a medical instrument (10) includes a housing (12), a stylet (14) having a portion in the housing (12), a movable first member (30) in the housing (12), the movable member (30) being connected to the stylet (14), and a second member (64) located in the housing (12) to reduce movement of the first member (30). The second member (64) is configured to change movement of the first member (30) from a first direction to a second direction different than the first direction.
