A lathe tool, which ensures reduction of time for replacement of the cutting edge of cutter with other geometric parameters, contains a bracket with closed seat and stepped hole, a insertion supporting plate with a seat under cutting plate and wedge section, a cutting plate with an opening. The insertion supporting plate is located in the seat of bracket. The cutting plate is installed via compression to the planes of seat on the insertion supporting plate. The groove is made on the bearing surface of insertion supporting plate. Stepped hole communicates with the closed seat, in which is located the rod with a hook and a groove. The inclined surface of hook is installed with possibility of interaction with appropriate surface of groove in the insertion supporting plate. Spring is located in the step of the larger diameter of stepped hole and is installed with possibility of interaction by one side with the ledge of opening in the bracket, and by second side - with the support on the rod. In the bracket the limiter is located, with possibility of interaction with the surfaces of groove in the rod.
