<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium having a structure wherein a metal reflection layer is interposed between an organic dye and a molded substrate and capable of forming recording marks having satisfactory quality. <P>SOLUTION: One embodiment of the optical recording medium is provided with a first substrate (11) on a light beam incident surface side, a second substrate (17) on the side opposite to the light beam incident surface side, a first recording layer (12) which is provided between both substrates and whose property is changed by being irradiated with a laser beam, a first reflection layer (13) provided between the first recording layer and the second substrate, an adhesive layer (14) provided between the first recording layer and the second substrate and deformed by being irradiated with the laser beam, a second recording layer (15) which is provided between the adhesive layer and the second substrate and directly on the adhesive layer and whose property is changed by being irradiated with the laser beam and a second reflection layer (16) provided between the second recording layer and the second substrate.
