<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader which detects the width of an original with simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An image reader comprises a display panel which includes an original platen 30, a pair of original width adjusting guides 31 provided on the original platen 30, and an original width detection sensor 32 for detecting a position of the width of an original and detecting the width of the original from the position, and displays the detected width of the original thereon, and further comprises a display panel for displaying a transfer paper sheet corresponding to the original width thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
