<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guide wire easily deforming the shape of a guide wire distal end part, namely, easily deforming the shape of the guide wire distal end part according to the shape and the direction of a branch blood vessel at a proximal end side and having superior operability. <P>SOLUTION: This medical guide wire comprises an outer cylinder having the distal end curved at an arbitrary curvature and an inner core freely inserted into its inside.
