PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cradle assembly of an engine for a motor vehicle and a forming method thereof, locally reinforced using a hydroforming process. SOLUTION: A front cross frame member 24 is connected to the front ends 16, 18 of side frame members 12, 14, and a rear cross frame member is extended between the rear ends 20, 22 of the side frame members. Each frame member is formed by supplying fluid pressure to the interior of each tubular metal raw material by a hydroforming process and expanding the same in the radial direction. The side frame members are (i) increased in sectional area defined by the corrected peripheral shape by 5% or more as compared with the initial section, and (ii) increased in quantity of metal per unit length in an area extended at least in one longitudinal direction more than that at least in the other areas, and a suspension mount is fixed thereon.
