PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of displaying the own car position correctly on a road and executing auto-re-routing operation, even in the case of a plurality of roads which are map matching candidates. SOLUTION: The own car position and the own car traveling direction are detected (step S1), and a white line is detected from an image of roads on both front sides of the own car imaged by a camera (step S3). A road used as the map matching candidate is specified based on the detected own car position and the own car traveling direction (step S5). In the case of a plurality of specified roads which are map matching candidates, it is determined which road the own car is traveling based on a detection result of the white line (step S6). Map matching processing is performed in accordance with the road determined to travel by the own car based on a determination result (step S7), and the corrected own car position is displayed on a road map (step S8).
