<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a group character movement control method for enabling more real representation of movement of a group of characters. <P>SOLUTION: The group character movement control method comprises the steps of moving a leader according to a course plan obtained beforehand (Step 411) when the group of characters move, obtaining target positions of the characters other than the leader from formation information and the position of the leader (Step 403), making a course plan so as to reset the target position (Steps 409 and 410) when the target position cannot be seen from the character, and obtaining an acceleration for reaching a target and an acceleration for avoiding collision so as to update the speed and position of the character (Steps 405-408). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
