<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium niobate piezoelectric single crystal having a high electromechanical coupling factor. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric single crystal is obtained by adding molybdenum into lithium niobate within a range of≤4 mol%. The compositional ratio of lithium in the lithium niobate piezoelectric single crystal is set to be within a range of 48.0-50.0 mol%. The electromechanical coupling factor of the piezoelectric single crystal can be improved by the addition of an appropriate amount of molybdenum and the restriction of the compositional ratio of lithium oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
