PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding apparatus and program in which encoded data suited to a decoding apparatus can be generated.

SOLUTION: There are provided a specification section 202 for specifying encoding processing suited to a decoding apparatus 3 among a plurality of different encoding processing and an encoding processing section 201 for generating encoded data S2 by applying the encoding processing specified by the specification section 202 among the plurality of different encoding processing to image data S10, thereby generating encoded data suited to the decoding apparatus.
