<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately position a slide member and improve accuracy upon mounting a substrate by an automatic mount machine even if there are an assembly error, a forming error, etc., between the slide member and a base housing. <P>SOLUTION: A socket for pin grid array package comprises a slide member 20 for sliding along with a base housing 10; a slide means to reciprocate the slide member 20 between a first position at which a lead pin can be inserted up to a terminal mounting part in the housing 10 and a second position at which the inserted lead pin is contacted with a terminal; and a stopper device to restrict movements of the slide member 20. A movement range of the slide member 20 associated with rotation of an eccentricity cam member 31 is set larger than a movable rage of the slide member 20 restricted by the stopper device, and rotational resistance is generated at the cam member 31 by restricting the movement range of the slide member 20 caused by the stopper device 50 when rotating the cam member 31 to arrive the slide member 20 at the first position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
