SERVO CONTROL METHOD OF OPTICAL DISK DEVICE AND OPTICAL DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo control method of an optical disk device in which no servo disturbance is generated at the completion of servo hold by the servo control when an optical disk has a scratch and to provide an optical disk device. SOLUTION: RF signals (a) are generated based on the signals outputted from an optical pickup 3. When detecting that the fall of the RF signals becomes a threshold lower than a maximum value of the RF signals, a servo hold start signal e1 is generated. Servo hold of the control of focus and tracking is started based on the servo hold start signal. When detection is made for the fact that the fall of the RF signals is recovered and the amplitudes of the RF signals are restored, a servo hold completion signal e2 is generated and the servo hold of the servo control is completed based on the servo hold completion signal.
