PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure determining circuit capable of carrying out accurate failure determination by preventing incorrect determination caused by unstable operation of an electronic circuit. SOLUTION: A voltage detecting part 2 is provided for detecting a voltage VAi to be determined between predetermined nodes Nai and Nbi on the electronic circuit, and a failure determining part 3 is provided for determining whether or not the voltage VAi to be determined is within predetermined threshold voltage ranges for failure determination, and determining that there is failure between the predetermined nodes Nai and Nbi when the voltage VAi to be determined is not within the first or second threshold voltage ranges. In the failure determining part 3, after passage of a stabilization period set beforehand in response to a component or a circuit existing between the predetermined nodes Nai and Nbi, failure determination based upon the first threshold voltage range is carried out, and failure determination based upon the second threshold voltage range is carried out irrespective of the passage of the stabilization period.
