PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for renewing a boiling water reactor installation which improves the performance of a plant as well as enhances the safety of it and the installation. SOLUTION: The boiling water reactor installation in this invention is so constituted that an internal pump 25 which changes the circulation of reactor water from an external circulation structure method to an internal circulation structure method is placed in a downcomer 22 of a reactor pressure vessel 20 during its renewal.
