PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the reliability of a radiator cannot be obtained by occurrence of a phenomenon of so-called tube ground breakage where the root of a core plate becomes detached from the tube. SOLUTION: This radiator comprises a core section formed of a plurality of tubes contacting with a plurality of fins, a plurality of inserts, core plates for connecting the tubes to the inserts, and a pair of tanks where both ends of each of the plurality of tubes are joined liquid-tightly. While the hot liquid flowing into one of the pair of tanks flows to the other of the pair of tanks via the plurality of tubes, and air flows on the outer surfaces of the tubes. The tubes and inserts constitute two outer surfaces of the core section. In each of two outer surfaces of the core section, at least one reinforcing member is joined to each of the plurality of tubes and the plurality of inserts. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
