The barrier has two parallel and right angled inner and outer surfaces (3a, 3b), whose upper edges that are aligned upwards in an assembly position are connected with each other by a rounded circulating curve edge (12), such that the barrier exhibits a double layered structure. Elongated holes are formed in the surfaces for assembling the barrier at the pool, and a cover plate is arranged at the surface (3b) for sealing the holes. An independent claim is also included for a swimming pool.
