<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-purpose adhesive sealant suitable for sealing various components included in an electrochemical battery. <P>SOLUTION: The sealant is a polyolefin denatured by acid, anhydride, acid ester, or metallocene which can carry out a plurality of sealing functions at a heat activated sealing process.
