<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of acquiring stable density characteristics and gradation characteristics, without drastically lowering the productivity. <P>SOLUTION: Image density is corrected by switching a full image density correction mode and a simple image density correction mode, according as whether a detected condition agrees with a predetermined condition previously stored in a memory 1102. The full image density correction mode is a mode to correct the image density over the entire density area of the image developed with light color toner and dark color toner having the same hue, and the simple image density correction mode is a mode to correct the image density, only in the predetermined area out of the density area of the image developed with the light color toner and the dark color toner having the same hue. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
