<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize efficient practice of a plurality of jobs by suppressing a waiting time period due to a preparation action or an adjustment action between the plurality of jobs. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises job management means 101, 160 capable of handling a plurality of jobs in relation to forming of an image, an image forming means 150 for forming an image according to image data by a unit of each job, and a control means 101. The controls means 101 judges go or no-go of starting of preparation action of a job to be practiced at the next time (next job) during the practice of a job of forming of an image (present job) when an output setting of the next job is different from that of the present job and controls the starting of the preparation action of the next job when it is judged that the starting of the preparation action of the next job is possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
