摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which shows a successful image quality even in rapid/high density image recording, especially is almost free from a beading and a bleeding phenomenon, and exhibits excellent discharge stability, and an ink set and an image recording method using the ink set. <P>SOLUTION: This ink composition is used in an imaging device which forms an image with not less than 650 dpi pixel density and not less than 0.5 m<SP>2</SP>/min recording rate by impacting ink droplets onto a printing medium with an image receiving layer. In addition, the ink composition shows a ratio of surface tension to viscosity (surface tension/viscosity) of not less than 5. The ink set is used in the imaging device, shows a ratio of surface tension to viscosity (surface tension/viscosity) of not less than 5 and contains at least two kinds of ink compositions which are different in the above ratio (surface tension/viscosity) from each other. The image recording method uses the ink composition and impacts its ink droplets onto the printing medium with the image receiving layer. Another type of the image recording method uses the ink set and impacts the ink droplets of the components onto the printing medium in the decreasing order of the their above ratio (surface tension/viscosity). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
