<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker that has a more excellent sound characteristic with a simple configuration and can emit natural sound close to sound played by a live musical instrument. <P>SOLUTION: This speaker is provided with a diaphragm mounting part 9, a diaphragm 8 made of wood and mounted on the diaphragm mounting part 9 with tension given, and a vibrator 11 provided in the diaphragm 8 to emit sound by vibrating the diaphragm 8.
