<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reproduction of higher fidelity image by executing quick image resolution transformation and preventing missing and duplication of the original image. <P>SOLUTION: A clock-thinning unit 201 generates thinned transfer clock, by thinning clock pulses from the transfer clocks to transfer the image data by pixel based on the ratio of resolution transformation. A counter 204, pixel addition unit 205, and averaging unit 206 average a pixel, corresponding to either of two clocks neighboring to the thinned transfer clock generated by the clock-thinning unit 201 and a pixel, corresponding to the transfer clock intervening between the neighboring two clocks to make it as the pixel after resolution transformation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
