<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric furnace dust processing device, with improved sealing performance, and a method for processing electric furnace capable of maintaining electric furnace dust at prescribed high temperature, and recovering metal zinc in the form of vapor. <P>SOLUTION: This electric furnace dust processing device is provided with an electric furnace 1 comprising gas seal members (glass fibers or the like) disposed between a furnace body 11 and a furnace cover 12, and a gas seal (nitrogen gas or the like) in a gap between a circumferential surface of a through hole provided in the furnace cover and an outer surface of an electrode 14, with a discharge port 111 closed with a removable cover, and a work port 112 closed with a work tool. It is also provided with a duct 2, a dust collector 3, and a zinc collector 4. In the method for processing electric furnace dust, air is supplied to the electric furnace dust carried in the duct at least, so that carbon monoxide in exhaust gas is burnt to keep the electric furnace dust at high temperature, thereby metal zinc is recovered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
