PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color output characteristic correction information calculating apparatus which calculates correction information which correct the color output characteristic between the color output apparatuses without labor hour in a short period of time. SOLUTION: Color output characteristic difference information showing the difference of color output characteristic between a first color output unit for printing using first evaluation data and a second color output unit for printing using any second evaluation data of a plurality of second evaluation data based on the relation between a colorimetry value of each color calculated by first colorimetry values calculation means and a colorimetry value of each color calculated by second colorimetry values calculation means is calculated. The data for the second evaluation used when the color output characteristics difference information having the smallest value is calculated, is specified, and the correction information when the specified second evaluation data is calculated is determined as the correction information which performs the approximation correction to the color output characteristics of the first color output unit.
