PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detecting apparatus capable of reducing costs by commonizing a printing form and setting a wide resistance value and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The liquid level detecting apparatus is provided with both a first connecting part 3c provided on an insulating substrate 2 with a plurality of leads 3 provided with sliding parts 3a in which sliding contacts 6 slide according to liquid level variations and a resistor 4 connected over the leads 3 and a second connecting part 3d for electrically connecting at least two leads or more among the leads 3 to the first connecting part 3c for electrically connecting each lead 3 at locations on both sides of the resistor 4.
