摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission device in which a two way clutch and an electromagnetic clutch are assembled between an input shaft and an outer ring, and which controls engagement and disengagement of the two way clutch by the electromagnetic clutch, wherein friction resistance is enhanced without enlarging the size of the electromagnetic clutch. SOLUTION: The device includes between an input shaft 1 and an outer ring 2 a two-way clutch 10 and an electromagnetic clutch 20 by which the two-way clutch 10 is brought into a locking state by attracting the armature 21 prevented from rotating by a holder 14 of the two-way clutch 10 to a rotor 22 mounted in the outer ring 2 through energization of an electromagnet 23 with respect to an electromagnetic coil 23a. By assembling a thrust applying means 30 between the two-way clutch 10 and the electromagnetic clutch 20 and pressing the armature 21 by the thrust applying means 30 during attraction of the armature 21 to the rotor 22, friction resistance acting on the attraction surfaces of the rotor 22 and the armature 21 is enhanced.
