PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a intermediate layer resin deforms and bolt fastening torque drops to cause sealing failure of a compression chamber if a conventional hermetic compressor is used in high temperature refrigerant by fastening a delivery muffler made of laminated damping steel sheet on a compression element by a bolt. SOLUTION: In this invented hermetic compressor, a compression element part has a bearing part arranged to put a cylinder therebetween in a vertical direction to form a compression chamber, a delivery port for delivering gas from the compression chamber is provided on at least one of the upper and the lower bearing part, a delivery muffler fitted and fastened by a bolt is included in at least one of the upper and the lower bearing part together with a cylinder. The delivery muffler has a structure provided with a laminated damping steel sheet member having intermediate resin layer containing refrigerant resistant viscoelastic resin and filler or inorganic filler laminated between steel plates.
