PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a throttle body of an internal combustion engine that an accelerator cable connecting a throttle lever of the throttle body and an accelerator pedal becomes inoperable due to, for instance, collision of a vehicle, the accelerator pedal becomes impossible to operate and an ankle may be subject to excessive load when depressing the accelerator pedal. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine to be mounted on the vehicle with a crank shaft parallelized to vehicle axles comprises the throttle body which has a built-in throttle valve installed on a rotary shaft for controlling an intake air rate according to a rotation angle. The vehicle has an operation unit in its operator's room for operating the throttle valve. The throttle body is disposed with the rotary shaft parallelized to the crank shaft. A connection portion formed on an end of the rotary shaft of the throttle valve and the operation unit are connected through the connection member having flexibility. An attachment member is provided for attaching the connection member to the throttle body. The attachment member has an extension portion near an attachment position of the connection member, which extends from the attachment position of the connection member towards the internal combustion engine along the connection member.
