PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee bolster structure capable of enhancing the reliability of the action thereof. SOLUTION: In the knee bolster structure, a knee receiving member 3 is mounted on a vehicle body side member 2 via an impact absorbing part 6 and a knee receiving member moving part 7. The knee receiving member moving part 7 has a fixed side arm 27 and a movable side arm 28, and an operating lever 30. The movable side arm 28 and the operating lever 30 are connected to each other by the slide fitting of a long hole 33 and an action shaft 34. An impact mitigating mechanism 50 to mitigate the impact generated in the action shaft 34 is provided, the impact mitigating mechanism 50 is interposed between the fixed side arm 27 and the movable arm 28, and forms a member 53 to be cut by the opening action of both arms.
