PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary heating due to thermal storage of a platen roller by fully heat activating both ends in a transfer direction of a heat-sensitive adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: A heating element 10 of a thermal head is started to drive (T3) before the front end in the transfer direction of the heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 1 enters between the thermal head for heat activation and the platen roller 12 (T2). The heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 1 is passed while a heat-sensitive adhesive layer is heat activated. After the rear end comes out from between the thermal head and the platen roller 12 (T5), the heating element 10 is stopped driving (T6). Both a time (T2-T3) after the driving start of the heating element 10 before the front end of the heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 1 enters between the thermal head and the platen roller 12, and a time (T6-T5) after the rear end comes out from between the thermal head and the platen roller 12 before the heating element 10 is stopped driving are set to be shorter than a time for the platen roller 12 to rotate once.
