PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with works of various quality and/or carious forms, and to securely and smoothly chuck such a work. SOLUTION: In the chuck device, a chuck body is provided on a body element of a chuck suspended from a moving portion movably provided to a machine. The chuck device comprises a chuck hook capable of moving backward and forward toward a center direction of the chuck body, a driving plate detachably provided to a rotating shaft of the body element, a rotating means for driving the driving plate, and a coupling support provided on a long groove of the driving plate detachably on the chuck hook. The chuck hook is provided so as to move backward and forward toward the center direction of the driving plate through arc-shaped movement of the coupling support provided in the long groove.
